  • The Ginquizition is Coming!

    Hey smarty pants, show off that big brain of yours when we welcome The Ginquizition to Paydirt on Monday, April 18th at 8pm. Portland's only history themed trivia night is an interactive pub quiz where groups are welcome and the prizes are plentiful. Gather up a crew of your smartest friends and we'll see you at The Ginquizition.

  • New Classes Announced for Whiskey 101 and 201

    Our devotion to alcoholucation knows no bounds (in fact, we might have more accreditation than Trump University): We have just announced brand new classes for both Whiskey 101 and Whiskey 201.

    The Whiskey 201 course will be on Saturday, April 23rd at noon. This $45 class is an advance journey through global whiskeys, including everything from Scotch to Irish to Japanese and more. 

    The Whiskey 101 course will be on Saturday, May 7th at noon. This $40 class is a very special one-of-a-kind Kentucky Derby edition of our traditional Whiskey 101 lesson. In addition to the regular drink-while-you-learn instruction, there will be Mint Juelps for all attendees at the end. Jockey attire is not required.

    Both classes are hosted at Paydirt and include about a half-dozen tastings, tasty snacks, run about 90 minutes in length, and always sell out. Get your ticket to the Derby Edition Whiskey 101 here and our advanced Whiskey 201 here. Don't delay!

  • New Happy Hour & Bottled Cocktails

    We've doubled down on our Happy Hour menu and have some exciting new items, including a gilded bucket of Miller High Life bottles (five for $10), rotating $7 cocktails, a bartender's choice Boilermaker Roulette plus our brand new line of bottled cocktails. Plus, don't forget that all micro beers are $1 off, same goes for house wine and well drinks.

    As for the small-batch carbonated cocktails, they will change constantly and our first offering will feature a Dark & Stormy (made with Blackstrap Rum and house ginger syrup) and Xima, our not-so-legal ode to a questionable malt beverage of our youth. 

    Also, we've expanded our Happy Hour range; it's daily from opening until 7pm and now ALL DAY on Sunday and Monday.

    That's a lot of Happy Hour.

  • Our Next Whiskey 101 Class Will Be On March 5th

    Tired of watching all our Whiskey 101 classes sell out before you can sign up?

    Well, don't delay, our next class will be held on Saturday, March 5th at noon. Whiskey 101 is an educational primer on all things American Whiskey, a learning enviornment where you can drink as you discover more about this fine spirit.

  • Paydirt Will be Closed on Monday, January 18

    Woooo! We will be closed on Monday, January 18th for our employee appreciation party. We promise no kittens will be harmed—as long as they know how to hold their liquor—and we'll be back at it on Tuesday, January 19th at 4pm.
